We’ve heard of rude customers – but this one takes the cake. If you thought customers complaining about food or damaging items in stores was infuriating, imagine getting punched by a customer and having a selfie with your bloody face taken as a “souvenir”.

That happened to a 17-year-old while working at a 7-Eleven in Bandar Rinching, Kajang. The incident was reported by the boy’s father, Shahrul Aminshah Aziz, who also shared CCTV footage of the incident. In the footage, two drunk men had entered the convenience store while the victim and a co-worker were on shift.

Kajang: Pekerja sebuah kedai serbaneka di Bandar Rinching di sini, cedera di muka selepas ditumbuk lelaki mabuk kerana menegurnya mengambil payung di dalam premis berkenaan malam tadi.

One of the men, dressed in a green tee, tried stealing a couple of umbrellas as he left the premise, prompting the 17-year-old staff to call out to the man. He began taunting the teen before the other man, dressed in a black tee, joined in on the argument. As the altercation escalated, the man in the green shirt began punching and kicking the teen’s face.

Infuriatingly, after he stopped hitting the victim, the man began taking photos of his bleeding face as he lay on the ground. The other man had also taken a selfie with the teen after seemingly taunting him. The co-worker was unharmed but did get into a minor argument with the two men before asking them to leave. After the incident, the victim was taken to Hospital Kajang to receive treatment for his injuries.

The victim’s father has made a report regarding the incident and is asking for anyone to come forward to help identify the two men. Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zaid Hassan also stated that the authorities are now working to track down the suspects.

We wish the teen a fast recovery and hope the men will receive punishment for their actions.
