A few months ago, actress Afifah Nasir tied the knot with her partner Syed Hariz, at a ceremony held at the St. Regis Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Although her fans loved how beautiful she looked, many disapproved of the actress’s sheer wedding dress, saying that it was too inappropriate for the occasion.
The celeb hasn’t said anything regarding the criticism she received. She did, however, take down the TikTok video she posted of her in her wedding dress. Thankfully for Afifah, her latest Instagram post didn’t get as much backlash despite one part of the dress she was wearing being slightly revealing. Here’s how netizens reacted to it:
Earlier this week, Afifah Nasir posted a video of her gleefully dancing on Instagram, recreating a particular scene from the Bollywood movie “Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge” starring Karisma Kapoor and Salman Khan. Sadly, her husband did not join her in the video to play the part of Salma Khan in the catchy romantic dance number but there’s a reason for that.
“A similar dress but this is the outcome as I didn’t rehearse the dance beforehand. Don’t ask me why Hariz didn’t join me. I also can’t imagine him dancing like Salman Khan. I’ll probably cringe hahaha,” she captioned the post. While many of her fans found the video to be humourous, others commented that they had to take a second glance at her dress as the sheer part around the knee area made it look as though the skirt was falling off.
Unlike the previous comments about her wedding dress, netizens were mostly amused by Afifah’s outfit’s optical illusion, as seen in the comments above. A few even wonder how she managed to find a similarly designed dress as the one Karisma Kapoor wore in the movie.
