The MRT is a convenient and cost-effective way to commute to work, with over 60 stations throughout the Klang Valley. However, humans aren’t the only ones who prefer taking the train, as shown by this curious little kitty.
Recently, a XiaoHongShu user shared how she met a tabby cat inside an MRT while commuting to work. According to the user, the cat got on the train alone at the Kwasa Damansara station and sat quietly on a seat. Her video showed the cat quietly walking around the coach before leaping onto an open seat next to a young lady. Amused by the sight, the netizen also joked in the captions, “Is kitty going to work too?”.

Many netizens have since commented on the peculiar scene, showing amusement over the cat confidently taking the MRT. Several other users said they also saw the same cat at the Mutiara Damansara station, indicating that’s where it got off. As for the reactions of those on the train, many just quietly looked upon the cat, while some understandably whipped out their phones to capture the adorable moment.
However, it seemed the cat doesn’t have an owner, as one comment revealed that the tabby is a stray often seen at the D’sara Sentral apartment complex. As such, many concerned netizens have since called for people to help locate the adventurous feline, in fear for its safety.

Thankfully, the cat returned to the apartment complex safe and sound. Funnily, the resident who brought it back said the kitty seemed to have known it was time to head home.
We can’t confirm if this was the kitty’s first time riding the MRT, given that it seemed familiar with the train. Nevertheless, we hope the curious feline had fun exploring.
