Have you ever wanted to be a K-pop star, performing alongside some of the biggest names in the industry? Well, here’s your chance! K-pop agency THEBLACKLABEL (더블랙레이블) has announced a global audition – and Malaysia is on the list!
The YG Entertainment-associated agency recently dropped details for their first large-scale global auditions to find their next talent. The global audition tour will span 14 cities across 11 countries, including Thailand, USA, Japan and Malaysia. Only individuals born between 2006 and 2015 are eligible to audition, but all nationalities are welcome. Applicants can auction for one of the three categories: vocal, rap or dance.
The audition in Malaysia will take place on 17th May 2025 (Saturday), at Flow Academy in IOI Mall Damansara. Interested applicants can register via the official Google Form on the audition website. Online registrations will close three days before each city’s audition. Pre-registered applicants will be notified via email to attend the on-site audition on the specified date and time.
Finalists selected from the global audition will be offered the opportunity to become an official trainee under THEBLACKLABEL. For those unfamiliar, the agency was founded by famed YG Entertainment producers Teddy Park and Kush. The company is currently home to BIGBANG’s (빅뱅) Taeyang (태양), BLACKPINK’s (블랙핑크) Rosé (로제), Jeon Somi (전소미) and MEOVV (미야오).
