Director-actor Syamsul Yusof has gotten a lot of negative attention this year after marrying his second wife without the blessing or even knowledge of the first (now-ex) wife actress Puteri Sarah. He even got into a beef with several local celebrities including rapper Caprice and actor Aaron Aziz.
Apart from his marriage and professional issues, rumour has it that the star hasn’t visited his family for some time now. While there’s not much info about what’s been going on in his personal life lately, a video that’s been circulating online has netizens showing concern about his new image.
A (now-deleted) video has been circulating online, showing Syamsul Yusof posing with a young boy in sports attire with a caption that reads, “Zarriell says goodbye to Uncle Syamsul Yusof before going to school”. The original video was posted by @zarriellrayyan2 on TikTok but has since been taken down for unknown reasons.
As for the identity of the person recording and the boy in the video, it can be assumed that they were probably relatives of the “Mat Kilau” director. The post may seem normal at first glance but what caught netizens’ attention the most was how different the 39-year-old looked after not appearing in public for a few months. Compared to how he looked in his post back in August, the actor appeared to have lost some weight.
This caused netizens to wonder if he’s currently undergoing some sort of spiritual treatment to better himself. The comments in the original video said that they hoped Syamsul would reconcile with the rest of his family, especially his parents. One netizen expressed concerns about his health as they almost didn’t recognise him.
At the time of writing, Syamsul Yusof has yet to address these comments from netizens. Spiritual treatment or not, we hope that the actor is doing okay in regards to his health and personal relationships. Watch the reposted version of the video below:
