For 5 years, the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Abdullah and his wife, Tunku Azizah fulfilled their royal duties when they were the King and Queen of Malaysia. Although they’ve had a very busy schedule, they never forgot to have a little fun while they were on some of their expeditions.
Now that they’ve passed on the title to the next state monarch, citizens have been wondering what the royal couple has been up to apart from their usual duties. It seems that one lucky Malaysian managed to get an answer to that question after stumbling upon them during their holiday.
In a video posted on TikTok by user @/fttsyaamni earlier this week, it was shown that the former Agong and his wife appeared to be on a date together at Pulau Ular Kuantan. The Pahang royal couple were seen cosying up to each other on top of a large rock on a hill and even waved to the person who was recording them from below.
At one point in the video, it was shown that they were not actually alone as their son Tengku Hassanal was seen taking photos of them from behind. The TikTok post instantly went viral and netizens couldn’t get enough of the Sultan and his wife. As seen in the comments below, many thought it was romantic that the two would still go on these small dates whenever they got the chance. Others prayed that the Pahang state monarchs would continue to have a loving and lasting marriage.
Sultan Abdullah and Tunku Azizah basically reminded all of us that just because you’ve been married for many years, doesn’t mean you should stop going on little dates every now and then.
