Who would pass on the opportunity to see Dato Sri Siti Nurhaliza live in concert? The legendary entertainer is set to take the stage for her 2-day “Love Is In The Sky” concert at the Arena of Stars in Resorts World Genting this weekend (10th and 11th August) and tickets for the first day are already sold out!
The superstar has obviously been practising on her performance as she posted several behind-the-scenes rehearsal footage on Instagram since last week. Her latest post, however, had many wondering if she would be inviting a very special guest onto the stage with her for the upcoming concert.
Yesterday (Monday, 5th August), Siti Nurhaliza uploaded a video of her practising her song “Nadi” from the deluxe edition of her “SITISM” album which was released last year. In the video, she was accompanied by her daughter Siti Aafiyah who was playing the simplified version of the song’s instrumental on the piano.
“Sing it!” said the 6-year-old musician before the video cuts to a snippet of the ballad the mother and daughter duo were rehearsing together. The post garnered a lot of views from fans who praised Aafiyah for helping her mother rehearse for her show by playing the instrument wonderfully.
The video also led many to wonder if the young talent will be joining her mother on stage this weekend as either pianist or duet partner. Some are hoping Siti will bring her daughter out momentarily during the show for a special mother-and-daughter performance.
Neither Siti nor her team confirmed if Aafiyah will be up on stage for the upcoming concert but even if it’s true, it’s probably best to keep it a surprise until the actual performance. Regardless, it’s good to know that the singer’s eldest child has the same passion for music as her mother. Perhaps one day, we’ll actually get to see them together on stage.
