Over the long weekend, the singer performed at the Pestapora music festival in Jakarta, Indonesia. Siti Nurhaliza is one of many regional performers who graced the stage, performing for a massive audience. The performance also marked the first time the powerhouse vocalist performed in Indonesia since her solo concert in 2019, making the set a highly anticipated one for her local fans.
According to reports, Siti Nurhaliza performed a total of 11 songs at the music festival, including “Cindai”, “Biarlah Rahsia”, “Aku Cinta Padamu” and “Gerimis Mengundang” by Indonesian singer Tiara. She also performed several songs with guitar accompaniment by Indonesian composer Ade Govinda. At the same time, she surprised fans when she invited Indonesian singer Afgan to perform “Bukan Cinta Biasa” with her on stage.
Before starting her set, the 46-year-old shared a few words of support for the locals over the recent political unrest in the country. Siti Nurhaliza said, “We (Malaysians and Indonesians) take care of each other. I bring the warm embrace of the Malaysian citizens for everyone here today.” As she was ending her performance, the icon also promised to return to the country with another solo concert as soon as possible.
Siti Nurhaliza’s performance also sparked a commotion online, with many netizens praising the singer. Some Indonesian netizens also voiced disbelief over the star’s visuals, noting her youthful and never-ageing looks. Some also questioned whether Siti Nurhaliza is a vampire, with one comment joking, “When I was young, she was already an adult. Now that I’m an adult, she looks like she never aged a day.”
