(Video) Sarawakians Catching Cobra With Recycled Bag Leave Netizens Astounded

Let’s be honest here, our first instinct when we see a giant snake (or anything as huge) would be to run away, right? It is almost unheard of for one to try to capture it themselves. That’s the whole reason why authorities dealing with dangerous animals exist in the first place.

However, a pair of locals from Sarawak would rather take things into their own hands than let the authorities handle it. A recent video of them catching a cobra went viral on Twitter and it left many netizens amazed at their bravery.

Orang Sarawak ni memang breed lain sikit. Nak tangkap ular tedung guna beg ecoshop. Hahaha pic.twitter.com/6htbe5s7vb

In the video, two individuals can be seen catching a pretty big cobra at a roadside. The man was using nothing but his bare hands to capture it, whereas the woman beside him was holding a red recycle bag waiting to secure the snake in it. The netizen who shared the video online captioned, “These Sarawakians are truly a different breed, trying to catch a cobra with an ‘eco shop’ bag. Hahaha.”

Seeing the video, many netizens agreed that the two from the video truly are exceptional. Some even shared that they could never imagine themselves doing such a thing, so they were really impressed at how the Sarawakians could gather up the courage to capture the cobra.

  • “A warrior’s blood flows inside him. 😆”
  • “That’s such a big cobra. He’s so brave.”
  • “Definitely a different, more evolved version of Malaysians. I would’ve just screamed and run like a coward 🤣”
  • “Does he even realised he’s holding a king-sized cobra?”
  • “They’re built different.”

There is currently no info on what happened next after the video ended nor were there any updates if authorities were called to assist the duo with the snake problem. Hopefully, no one was harmed during the whole process, and that the snake has been safely set free back into the wild, away from civilization.
