There are a lot of people out there who are willing to work hard to make ends meet. They either put in extra hours or work multiple jobs just so they can put food on the table. Many would consider this unfortunate as you’d need to work harder than most people to earn some extra cash.

While most would complain about working late at night in rainy weather, sometimes all it takes is a little reminder to motivate us to do better. For instance, this Sabah boy is making hearts melt after he was seen working hard with a smile on his face despite the rainy weather.

A video posted by TikTok user @mungz_21 has been getting a lot of attention lately. The viral video showed a young boy in a green disposable raincoat selling keropok (crackers) in the rain with a bright smile on his face. The caption in the video in the video reads, “He’s still in high spirits to work in the rain in the middle of the night.” The events in the video apparently took place at Gaya Street in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

In the video, we can see the young boy cheerfully interacting with customers, even giving a fistbump to a stranger before running over to the TikToker and his friend while carrying two baskets of keropok under his arms. The two young men asked the boy to pose for the camera before giving him cash. The boy accepted the payment and showed his gratitude to them before walking away.

The post has since gone viral after it was posted, now having over 1.1 million views and 1.6k comments. Netizens were touched to see the young boy still smiling and enjoying himself while working on a rainy night. In a response to a comment, @mungz_21 revealed that the boy refused to accept payment without giving away the snacks in his basket as he was there to do business, not ask for charity.

As we can see from the comments, many praised the boy for his good manners and hardworking spirit. So far, there have been no updates on the boy after the video went viral but we hope that he and his family are doing well. May he finds success and happiness in the future.
