You know those tweets and memes where people joke about wanting a specific (and usually inappropriate) song to be played at their funeral when they die? When a song is too good that you still want to hear it even in the afterlife. Totally understandable.

Jokes aside, can you imagine anyone actually playing a (catchy) Justin Bieber song at a funeral? If you think that’s too crazy then think again because this deceased person in Indonesia actually requested a specific JB song to be played and sung by their loved ones at their funeral.

TikTok user @madesurata0 posted a video on his account that is making waves right now. The video shows a funeral that took place in Indonesia where the loved ones of the deceased gathered around the casket to sing “Ghost” by Justin Bieber. A man can be seen holding up a microphone to the crowd so that everyone’s voices can be heard.

According to the caption in the video, this is the deceased’s last wish before being buried. The TikTok post has reached a whopping number of 3.6 million views, 306.1k likes and 18.7k comments. It is currently unknown if the one recording and posting the video personally knew the deceased or if he himself actually attended the funeral.

Netizens reacted to the viral (and very unusual) video with many commenting that they are confused and have no idea how to react to the situation. Others said that they should be glad it’s a Justin Bieber song and not a K-pop song. Some felt bad for laughing and there were also those who tagged the singer himself.

There were also comments suggesting that the deceased made the silly request so that their relatives won’t be too sad after they passed. While does that make sense? you certainly don’t see this everyday, especially during a funeral. Do you have a song you want to be played or sung at your funeral?
