What was meant to be a fun occasion turned into a traumatic one. Local fashion designer duo Razman Razmi were recently attacked by a freelance photographer at the “Nona Superwoman Award” event in Kuala Lumpur. According to the designers, the reason for the assault was due to an unsettled old debt of RM20,000.
They claimed they had been paying the man, identified as Imran Khairil or Aqo Imran, in instalments but had only settled RM6,000. The incident left both designers with facial injuries, and the cameraman was immediately arrested following a police report. Here is an update on the case:

Earlier today (Friday, 10th January), the accused appeared in court and entered his plea before Magistrate Farah Azura Mohd Saad after the charges were read out to him. Aqo Imran pleaded not guilty to assaulting Razman Razmi, whose real names are Azmi Abdul Rahman and Raziman Din, with a dangerous weapon at an award ceremony.
Accompanied by his lawyer, Datuk Suraj Singh, the accused was seen smiling as he was escorted by police officers after the court session, having spotted his friends, including actor Harris Anuar, who came to support him. Speaking of which, the actor shared his thoughts on the incident. The 32-year-old described Aqo Imran as a gentle person who has never been aggressive towards anyone.

“He’s definitely not the kind to resort to violence. Perhaps he’s just been suppressing his emotions for too long. We lived together during the MCO, and he’s a kind man who has never troubled anyone. I know him very well,” said the “Terlerai Noktah” star. He also added that he was unaware of the debt issue between his photographer friend and the fashion designers, saying that he only found out after the news broke.
As for the court case, the accused was granted bail of RM3,500 with one surety for each charge and was ordered to refrain from interacting with the celebrity duo until the case, which is classified under Section 324 of the Penal Code, concludes. If Aqo Imran is found guilty then he could face up to 10 years’ imprisonment, a fine, whipping, or any two of these penalties.
