Red may be an auspicious colour but when someone hurls red paint at you, that means bad news. An owner of a motorbike repair shop in Penang can vouch for this after his shop got vandalised by a man armed with several bags containing red paint.
In the viral video, the man can be seen in a green top yelling obscenities in a motorbike repair shop that is located along Jalan CY Choy in Penang. While screaming out vulgarities at the owner, the man hurled bags of red paint toward the owner and the shop’s wall, leaving a noticeable red splotch. The video also showed that the floor was also hit with large spots of paint.
The perpetrator then took two more paint-filled bags and hurled them toward the shop’s floor. As shown at the end of the video, other parts of the shop, like the office space, were also hit with red paint. The vandaliser turned to leave with, presumably a friend, but not before threatening to run the owner out of business.
The altercation is believed to stem from a business-related dispute between the man and the shop owner. It was reported that the man who vandalised the shop had been arrested by the police. Let this be a reminder for us to try to settle our disputes less aggressively.
