It’s official – Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah, known more fondly as Tengku Afzan, is off the market! The Princess of Pahang officially tied the knot with her partner, businessman FD Idzham FD Iskandar, yesterday evening (22nd August 2024).
Yesterday’s ceremony was the first of the four-day event. The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and his consort, Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, witness the royal wedding, along with the other members of the Pahang royal family, all dressed in royal yellow. According to reports, Tengku Afzan’s sister, Tengku Jihan, was the bridesmaid.
Pahang Mufti, Prof Datuk Dr Asmadi Mohamed Naim officiated the solemnization ceremony, representing Al-Sultan Abdullah. As previously reported, the wedding was live-streamed at Dataran Majlis Bandaraya Kuantan (MDK) and Tasik KotaSAS, allowing the public a look into the grand event. Tunku Azizah was spotted wiping her tears several times during the event, appearing emotional about her beloved daughter’s marriage. Earlier this week, during a speech, the Pahang Sultan also got emotional, which shows the royal family’s strong bond.
The newlyweds also held a merenjis (sprinkling) ritual led by Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tunku Azizah. The bride’s brother, Tengku Hassanal, joined in, followed by the groom’s parents, Datuk Seri Fateh Iskandar Mohamed Mansor and Datin Seri Hafizah Mohd Zakaria. The four-day event will continue with a henna ceremony later today (23rd August 2024) and the wedding reception on Sunday (25th August 2024). All ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 8pm and are broadcast live at MBK and Tasik KotaSAS.

Many also praised the grace and beauty of Tengku Afzan, expressing awe over how elegant she appeared on her big day.
