Olivia Rodrigo continues to showcase her generosity by helping those in need. Recently, a TikTok user revealed that the pop star helped pay for her final semester of college, allowing her to graduate.
Earlier this week, Jamie Causey took to TikTok to share about Olivia’s heartwarming gesture. The University of Alabama graduate revealed that the singer reached out to her last year, after she posted about not being able to afford her tuition. Jamie said their interaction began after Olivia wished her a happy birthday on one of her TikTok videos. Shortly after, the 21-year-old posted about struggling to pay her final semester’s fee, prompting a message from Olivia.

In the screenshot shared in the video, Olivia wrote to Jamie, “Hi girl! I know you don’t know me but I love your videos so much, you seem like the kindest coolest gal and you are such a source of positivity and light in my life!” The message continued, “I watched ur last vid about tuition and I’d love to help out if you were at all open to that?” The singer then asked for Jamie’s details, which the latter provided.
Jamie clarified in the video that she didn’t expect anyone to help pay her college tuition, noting that she was merely sharing about her situation and not asking for financial help. The video also includes a screenshot of an email from one of Olivia’s team members, confirming that the singer contributed US$5,000 (approximately RM20,200) to the student’s tuition. The email was dated 18th April 2026.

The TikTok user also explained why she kept the interaction a secret for a year, saying she didn’t want to make a spectacle of a meaningful gesture. Jamie then proceeded to thank Olivia for her help, saying, “You made me feel like I belong on this platform. You didn’t owe me anything. You just chose to show kindness to a stranger. You’ve always been about giving back to others, and that’s something I’ll take with me forever.”
Jamie also revealed that other public figures have reached out to her, including media personalities Paris Hilton and West Wilson. The social media personality ended her video with a message for the public to continue extending kindness, saying, “Send the message, pay for the coffee, pay for the car behind you, or just smile at someone. You never know the difference it will make.”

Livies (Olivia Rodrigo fans) and netizens have since reacted to Jamie’s video, praising the star for her generosity. Many also commended her for not publicising her contribution, saying it highlights her true kind personality.
