Over the weekend, Malaysian beauty queen Anjoe Koh (许縤恩) and her partner Daniel Tan (陈力涛) held their long-awaited wedding ceremony. As shown in pictures and videos, the wedding ceremony was a lavish occasion – so it’s no surprise that the couple splurged for the event.
The couple held their wedding banquet on 14th December 2024 (Saturday) at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Speaking to news outlets, Anjoe and Daniel revealed they spent more than RM200,000 for the 30-table banquet. The former Miss Astro Chinese International even joked about the expensive wedding, saying, “We spent all our money on the wedding, so we don’t even have money for a honeymoon!”.

According to reports, the wedding dinner was a spectacular feast, with dishes like “Braised Fish Maw with Peruvian Maca” and “Abalone with Hong Kong Kale”. The venue decoration included fresh flowers like pink roses, hibiscus and hydrangea. Of course, the bride had to look her best on her big day, so Anjoe reportedly wore four wedding dresses and evening gowns internationally renowned designer brands – Vera Wang, The Atelier from Prof Datuk Jimmy Choo OBE, and Zuhair Murad – from The Gown Atelier.
Anjoe and Daniel’s wedding was star-studded, with nearly 70 influencers and celebrities in attendance. Some of the wedding guests include Amber Chia (谢丽萍), Tong Bingyu (童缤毓), Angel Wong Chui-ling (王翠玲) and Qiu Wen (秋雯). Actress Pearlly Chua (蔡宝珠) also gave a speech, congratulating the couple on their big day. South Korean singer Han Byul (장한별) even took the stage to perform a song with Daniel.

This grand ceremony is the couple’s second wedding banquet, following their traditional Chinese banquet in November. The couple registered their marriage in late September after Daniel popped the question earlier that month. Anjoe spoke about the large gap between their wedding ceremonies, saying she enjoyed it more as it gave her more opportunities to make more beautiful and unforgettable memories.
Congratulations to Anjoe and Daniel on their wedding, and may their love last a lifetime!
