Julian Cheung (张智霖) and Anita Yuen’s (袁咏仪) son Morton Cheung (张慕童) continues to spark attention with his every move. This time, the 20-year-old drew interest after appearing at his father’s recent concert as a member of the house band.
Over the weekend, Julian performed in Guangzhou as part of his new tour. As the star sang his signature hits, concertgoers noticed his son Morton on stage, supporting his father as part of the band. The university student played the electric guitar, showcasing his musical talent. As the credits rolled, Morton’s name was among the band members, confirming his official stage debut alongside his dad.
Despite donning a simple, all-black ensemble, Morton still stole the spotlight during the show. His short hairstyle also gave fans a clear look at his features, once again earning him praise from the public for his good looks. Some online comments also noted how strongly he resembles his celebrity parents, with some quipping that he inherited the best of both Julian and Anita’s genes.
Unfortunately, Anita wasn’t present at the concert to see her husband and son perform on stage. However, Julian’s mother, and Morton’s grandmother, was amongst the audience to show support for her son and grandson. As it was a rare opportunity to see the three generations together in public, Julian, Morton and Julian’s mother quickly became the talking point of the evening.
Besides Morton, Julian’s concert also featured a special appearance from fellow Hong Kong star and longtime friend Jordan Chan (陈小春). The two “Greater Bay Area Brothers” shared the stage and sang a few songs, showcasing their deep friendship through their heartwarming interactions. Jordan’s fans also showed their support by sending a congratulatory flower basket to the concert venue.
Julian is scheduled to perform more shows on his tour, so there might be more opportunities to see Morton on stage. Perhaps Anita might also join in on a future performance for a complete family affair.
