Afiq Raffali or @afiqraffali on TikTok posted a heartwarming video of a farewell party for his oldest colleague who is ready to retire. The Mcdonald’s employees decided to send the 87-year-old man off by celebrating him and rewarding him for all his hard work over the years.
From the video, we can see that the elderly man was very touched by his juniors’ kind gestures. He sounded like he was on the verge of crying as he thanked his colleagues for the farewell party and for taking care of him throughout the years. We then see each employee taking turns to thank their beloved colleague for all he’s done and inviting him back for a meal whenever he’s free.
The video ended with everyone taking a group photo with the man of the hour. The wholesome TikTok post is currently going viral with it now reaching over 124.6k views at the time of writing. Netizens shared that they were touched by the McDonald’s outlet throwing a farewell party for their oldest employee. They also wished the old man a healthy and happy retirement. Some couldn’t even believe that the man still had the energy to work at his age.
It is currently unknown which McDonald’s outlet this old man used to work at but we hope that the fast food restaurant chain has been kind to him and rewarded him for his years of service. Happy retirement, sir!
