It’s disheartening to see domestic abuse happen right in front of our eyes or directly through our screens, especially in this day and age. It becomes more heartbreaking when a child is present during the attack when it shouldn’t even happen in the first place.
Yesterday (26th January 2025), a man was caught slapping his wife on a user’s livestream, and the video quickly went viral, gaining thousands of views in just a few hours. Only a snippet was shown live, but it was clear that abuse was taking place, as viewers saw the woman walking innocently, seemingly unaware of the man’s intentions.

The video originated from TikTok user @smrmotorsport’s livestream but has since been taken down by the original poster. However, many had already seen and saved the video, reposting it on other platforms like Twitter and Reddit. In the 30-second clip, a woman is seen exiting what is believed to be KIPMall Kota Warisan in Sepang when she stops in her tracks as a man approaches her and forcefully slaps her. He is then seen violently pointing in a direction before rudely ushering her away.
According to an update from a news outlet, the victim’s sister reported the incident to the authorities and confirmed that she was the abuser’s wife. The man is said to be in his 50s and of local nationality. Police from the Sepang IPD are now involved in locating both the suspect and the victim from the video. Netizens have left angry comments, calling the man weak and cowardly, while expressing concern for the wife’s well-being behind closed doors.

We hope this issue will be resolved without causing more harm than it already has, and for justice to be served to those who deserve it. What do you think about this?
