Getting trapped in a parking spot because someone had double parked behind your car can be frustrating, especially if you’ve waited a long time for the driver to return. However, despite being angered by this exact situation, this woman didn’t let her temper get to her.
In a video uploaded to social media, a woman named Macy shared that after having a meal at Klang Parade, she couldn’t drive off because someone had double parked behind her vehicle. Macy then screamed out of frustration because she had been waiting 30 minutes for the driver to return, even honking to get the driver’s attention.
After screaming and venting her frustration, she seemed to have felt calmer because, in another video, Macy confronted the driver who double parked her in a more reserved tone. She had politely told the female driver not to double park in the future or to place a phone number by the window so others could contact her when she does double park again.
Many netizens praised Macy for calmly dealing with such a frustrating situation, even adding a ‘please’ after speaking to the driver. Some said she was smart for venting in the car before approaching the driver to avoid unnecessary violence. Other comments also sympathised with her, sharing their annoyance towards people who double park.
For your information, double parking is against the law, according to the Road Transport Act 1987. So if you’re ever in the situation where you have to double park, please leave a number behind – it’s the least you could do for causing an inconvenience to people.
