Many newer car models nowadays come equipped with a dashcam. The device has proven to be very useful in getting evidence when an accident or crime occurs. For Tesla vehicles, a ‘Sentry Mode’ is installed on the dashcam, which is a security feature that captures footage of potential threats.
This owner is likely very grateful for the security feature after discovering his windshield was shattered by a large stone. So, what happened and who did it? Here’s the story:

Recently, a Facebook user, possibly the car owner, posted a video in the DashCam Malaysia Facebook group showing a shattered windshield before the camera panned to a dashcam recording. In the captured footage, a masked woman is seen approaching a Tesla car with a large stone in her right hand while carrying documents in her other hand.
The unknown individual then hurl the stone at the car’s windshield before leaving the scene. According to the dashcam footage, the incident occurred on Sunday (2nd March), the first day of Ramadan at around 3:14 pm. Although the location was not specified by the user, it is highly likely that the incident occurred in Kuala Lumpur, based on the RapidKL bus seen in the background as well as the buildings and structures in the surrounding area. It is probable that it took place near The Grange @ Ampwalk.

The video has since gone viral, with netizens attempting to figure out what prompted the woman to vandalise the vehicle. Many speculated that the driver and the perpetrator may have had an earlier dispute that led to this incident.
Others suggested that the driver might have parked illegally, which frustrated the woman. Some commented that, regardless of the context, damaging someone’s property is still against the law, and the woman could face charges if found guilty. The Tesla owner has yet to update on the situation.
