They say you can learn a lot about someone’s personality by hearing how others talk about them. After hosting Park Bogum’s (박보검) recent fan meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian media personality Owen Yap (叶剑锋) had nothing but praise for the star.
On 13th September 2025 (Saturday), Park Bogum held his “Be With You” fan meeting in Kuala Lumpur, dazzling fans for nearly five hours with his charm and talents. The event was hosted by local newscaster Owen Yap, who also hosted Park Bogum’s previous two KL fanmeetings in 2016 and 2019. Given the many times they have worked together, it’s no surprise that Owen has much to share about the “When Life Gives You Tangerines” star.
After his hosting gig, Owen took to his social media to share his experience working with Park Bogum, noting that he was deeply moved by the star. In the post, the media personality revealed that the actor remembered him from their past collaborations, despite the last one being years ago. Owen also said that Park Bogum ate with the staff in the catering hall before the event, highlighting his humble character.
The 8TV newscaster also revealed that, after the show, Park Bogum thanked the entire crew working on the fan meeting and took time to snap photos with every staff member who asked. Owen said he was touched by the 32-year-old’s “consistent kindness and respect for every person, regardless of role”. He also praised the actor’s personality, calling it “nothing short of a masterclass in humility and grace”.
Fans have reacted to Owen’s post, thanking him for the heartfelt testimony about Park Bogum. Many seconded his opinion, saying that the star is indeed humble despite his popularity. Those who attended the fan meeting also thanked Owen for hosting the event, noting that the actor appeared more comfortable in his presence.
