Earlier this year, there were multiple reports of tragic fatal incidents at shopping centres in Malaysia. Witnessing a horrific event unfold before your eyes is one thing, but discovering something that may have been decomposing for some time is quite another.

Yesterday (Thursday, 13th March), TikTok user @rizwankamarulzaman posted a video on his channel detailing his experience of finding a dead body at Suria KLCC. According to the captions, he had taken his wife to the shopping centre to celebrate her birthday, but the couple noticed something unusual when they reached the parking lot.

As shown in the video below, Rizwan pans the camera to a dark-coloured car parked on the first basement level of the shopping mall’s parking lot. Upon closer inspection, a pair of hands can be seen gripping the vehicle’s steering wheel. The shopper also pointed out a liquid beneath the car—possibly embalming fluid—suggesting that the person may have been deceased for several days.

From the captions, the incident occurred on 25th January earlier this year. After the video went viral, netizens flooded the comments section with questions about Rizwan’s experience. Many were shocked to see the decomposing hand inside the car, while others were curious about what actually happened, as there were no official reports of a body being found at Suria KLCC. Some asked how the couple had noticed the body in the first place.

Rizwan responded to the comments, providing more details about the incident. He explained that he first sensed something was wrong after detecting a foul odor coming from the car parked next to his. “We noticed a strange liquid dripping from the car, and that’s when we looked through the window to check,” he said.

The Johor man also stated that he immediately contacted the mall’s security guard about his discovery, who then informed mall management and auxiliary police officers. A few netizens came forward to verify the story, with one claiming to have seen forensics arriving at the mall that day, while another said her husband was one of the people who handled the body.

At the time of writing, there have been no updates on the story. It’s likely that Rizwan went home after giving his statement to the authorities, so he probably hasn’t been informed of the cause of death.

Here’s the disturbing video (Viewer discretion advised):
