Weddings are joyous occasions to celebrate the love and union of a happy couple. Unfortunately, local influencer Kar Yan (可恩), also known as Kate Tan, faced an unfortunate incident during her wedding after her best friend lost her luxury handbag during the celebrations.
The influencer recently married her now-husband in a low-key ceremony attended by family and friends. However, after the event, the social media personality revealed that someone at the wedding had stolen her best friend’s handbag, a silver Lady Dior. According to China Press, the bag costs an estimated five figures and is the victim’s favourite handbag.
Kar Yan called out the thief in an Instagram Stories post, writing, “Who on earth would do something like this when people are celebrating something happy? How low can a person’s character go?”. Fortunately, the influencer and her friend have identified the thief and have asked them to return the bag before they lodge a report with the police. She also said that her friend only wanted the bag back as she had already replaced everything else.
In related news, Kar Yan’s wedding also went viral after she revealed one unique feature of the event. Instead of booking a live band to play music, the influencer played episodes of the Japanese animated series “Crayon Shin-Chan (クレヨンしんちゃん)” to provide background sound and entertainment for guests. The adorable choice of wedding entertainment received tons of praise from netizens, who said they wanted to “steal” the idea for their nuptials.
