Seeing your car get engulfed in flames is never a pleasant experience. Recently, local influencer Kaduk, also known as Cardock, broke down in tears after an unexpected fire destroyed his prized Lotus Elise sports car.
Yesterday (Sunday, 7th September 2025), the Kuching-based influencer revealed that he lost his Lotus Elise sports car to a car fire. According to Kaduk, whose real name is Fadhil Mohamad Isa, the incident happened while he was driving from Batu 7 to Batu 13 to meet a friend. While near Batu 12 Jalan Kuching-Serian, he noticed a burning smell from his car, prompting him to pull over to the side of the road.

Soon after, a cloud of smoke formed at the back of the car. Kaduk quickly reached for the fire extinguisher that he keeps in his car for emergencies. Unfortunately, the extinguisher malfunctioned, and the fire soon grew too big to put out alone. When the Fire and Rescue Department arrived at the scene, they quickly extinguished the blaze. However, by then, the Lotus Elise was unfortunately already destroyed by the fire.
In a follow-up live stream, Kaduk lamented the loss of his Lotus Elise, which he owned for nearly eight years. He even burst into tears, unable to contain his emotions over losing the car. However, the influencer expressed gratitude that he and his wife, who was also in the vehicle during the incident, were unharmed from the fire. In a Facebook post, the media personality also thanked passersby who helped put out the fire and contacted the fire department.

Meanwhile, fans and followers expressed their support for Kaduk on social media. Some also voiced sadness over the loss of the car, which has been a signature to Kaduk’s online career. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire. For those wondering, the Lotus Elise is no longer in production. However, a quick search shows that the vehicle could cost anywhere from RM200,000 to RM800,000.
It’s no surprise that Kaduk is distressed over losing his beloved car, but we’re glad that he and his wife are safe and sound. Here’s a look at the fire that destroyed the sports car:
