We all can appreciate a good thrift find – and even more when we find something more than what we bargained for. This bundle shop got exactly that when they opened one of the clothing bales they bought from a supplier.

Thriftstvff.co is a bundle shop supplier that supplies secondhand items from South Korea to other bundle shops around Malaysia. The items packed in bales get sorted once received by the shop. Recently, the supplier shared that one of their clients found a large amount of cash – a whopping six million Korean Won (KRW).

Once exchanged, the money would be worth around RM21,440 in local currency, a steep jump from the RM50 the shop paid for the bale. In the video posted through the supplier’s Instagram stories, all the KRW notes are in denominations of 50,000 KRW. Thriftstvff.co also posted a WhatsApp exchange with the bundle shop employee, where they claimed to have found the money in a sock.

While the situation may sound like a scene right out of a movie, finding forgotten money in secondhand clothing is not exactly as rare as one might think. For instance, one Twitter user from Sarawak recently shared that they found a 50,000 KRW note in a shirt they bought from a bundle shop. The tweet also included an image of a receipt after exchanging the money at a money changer.

As for the bundle shop, there has been no additional information about the money they found – but what do you think about this situation? Did they strike the jackpot? Or does the story sound too good to be true?
