What happens when three of the biggest K-Pop girl groups of this generation come together? LE SSERAFIM (르세라핌), ILLIT (아일릿) and KATSEYE recently joined forces, dropping the “Iconic By Mistake” collaboration track and an equally epic music video!
The track marks the first collaboration between three of HYBE LABELS’ leading girl groups. LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT and KATSEYE previously teased the collaboration on social media, sparking tons of anticipation among fans. Ahead of the song’s release tomorrow (Friday, 12th June 2026), the group dropped the music video, which was jam-packed with unique and eye-catching visuals.

In the music video, the three groups appear in a series of chaotic and surreal scenes, from crashing trucks and robbing graves to pulling out teeth and starting a fire. After a joint dance scene, LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT and KATSEYE sit together around a fire to roast marshmallows, a rather heartwarming scene amid all the chaos. Cody Critcheloe, who previously worked on KATSEYE’s “Gnarly”, directed the maximalist video.
Besides the music video, the lyrics also sparked interest, as it appears to be a “thank-you” to the girl groups’ haters and Internet trolls. The chorus, “Hating me is like all you do/ Breakfast to dinner/ Algorithm bulletproof / Breaking your fingers/ Thank you for the comments/ It’s because of all your hate/ I am iconic by mistake”, acknowledges how the online hate the girls have received throughout their careers has fueled their global popularity.

LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT and KATSEYE will kick off promotions for “Iconic By Mistake” with their first joint live stage on Mnet’s “M Countdown” later today (Thursday, 11th June 2026). Fans can also expect more content from the three groups, including dance challenge videos. A dance practice video will also be shared later this week, giving fans a better look at the song’s fierce choreography.
With how things are looking, LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT and KATSEYE are about to have another “iconic” hit to their names. Check out the music video for “Iconic By Mistake” below:
