Netizens may have their opinions about celebrity entrepreneur Liana Rosli, famously known as Kak KM, but one thing’s for sure: she loves treating her family. The businesswoman previously gifted her son, Mohd Faris, a brand-new Mercedes-Benz and a cheque worth RM10,000 in celebration of his SPM results.
While this recent treat may not have cost as much as the luxury vehicle, it certainly amounted to a fortune nonetheless. In a TikTok video posted yesterday (Wednesday, 20th November), Kak KM revealed that her family spent over RM17,000 on a feast at an unspecified restaurant.
As seen in the video below, the Sweet Dara owner zoomed in on the receipt, which showed that she and her family spent a total of RM17,764 on their meal. Surprised by how expensive the bill was, she asked her loved ones not to waste anything. “What did you guys order for the bill to come up to RM17k? All of you better finish your food, and make sure this is worth the money. Eat everything. No pooping for a week, understand?” she told her family.
The rest of the video showed the entrepreneur and her family enjoying their time together over luxurious food. The post quickly went viral, with over 530k views at the time of writing, as netizens were flabbergasted by how expensive the meal was. Since the restaurant was not mentioned, some speculated that the family dined at Jogoya Buffet KL, located at Starhill Bukit Bintang, based on the establishment’s layout in the video and the symbol on the receipt.
Others pointed out that even the service charge (RM1.5k) was equal to their basic salary. According to the official website, the buffet price ranges from RM145+ to RM175+, depending on the time and days of the week, which would explain the astonishing bill. Even so, it still didn’t explain what exactly Kak KM’s family ordered that amounted to RM17k.
