Over the weekend, Seoul’s annual “Waterbomb Festival” made its spectacular return for the first time in over two years. As the name suggests, the festival includes splashing water on artists and audience using water guns and canons. Performers and also concert-goers took the opportunity to show off their bold styles and outfits – some were even seen in their swimwear and bathing suits at the music festival!
K-pop soloist BIBI (비비) was a part of the star-studded lineup during the second day of the event, joining the likes of Jay Park, Jessi, Gray, and also Chung Ha. The rising singer became a hot topic on social media recently for her professionalism in handling a wardrobe mishap while performing on stage.
During the event, BIBI first appeared on stage wearing a white T-shirt and a pair of denim shorts. The crowd went nuts when the 23-year-old removed her soaked top right after she finished performing her song “Cigarette and Condom”. After taking off her T-shirt, BIBI quickly realised that the string of her bikini was loosened. She quickly held on to her top, before making her way to the side of the stage.
BIBI then immediately approached one of her dancers for help, while continuing her live performance. Thankfully, a staff member also came to the rescue, as he went up to the stage and helped tie the loosened bikini string for her. Soon after everything was fixed, the “Bad Sad and Mad” songstress resumed her performance like nothing happened. Needless to say, she’s a true professional!
The footage capturing the incident has since gone viral online, and was met with tons of reactions from fans. Most of them praised BIBI (real name Kim Hyung Seo) for handling the mishap like a pro. To quote a few of the commentators, “There should be more singers like BIBI. She’s good at singing, and she’s also cool (on stage).”
