K-pop boyband RIIZE (라이즈) is gearing up for their highly anticipated comeback! The group is set to release their first full-length album in May and were recently spotted filming for their new music video.
Fans recently flooded social media with videos and pictures of RIIZE in Los Angeles, California. According to reports, the six members were spotted in the city filming for what appeared to be the music video for their upcoming single. Photos of the members show them in preppy-style outfits, complete with varsity jackets and button-up shirts. Most notably, the members also sported new hairstyles.
As K-pop idols are known for their bold and colourful hairdos, it’s no surprise that RIIZE is also donning new hairstyles. Both Shotaro (쇼타로) and Eunseok (은석) opted for a lighter colour and are now blonde. Meanwhile, Sungchan (성찬), Wonbin (원빈) and Sohee (소희) sported more natural tones of brown and black. However, the most shocking is Anton (앤톤), whose hair is now two-toned, with a brown shade on top and blond at the bottom.
Many fans have reacted to the new hairstyles, especially Anton’s. Some adored the colours and nicknamed it “pudding hair” because it resembled the custard dessert with its caramel sauce top. However, some lamented that the hairstyle doesn’t suit the idol and looks odd. Others even called out the group’s stylist for assigning unattractive hairstyles to Anton.
Besides new hair and outfits, the music video spoilers also attracted attention because of the number of stunts. One viral video shows Sohee being lifted into the air whilst lip-syncing to his part of the track. Another clip shows the members running on the streets and attempting parkour moves. The music video will also include a mob of dancers for one of the scenes, showing the large production scale.
From the looks of things, it seems like RIIZE’s upcoming music video is bound to have a lot of memorable scenes. Are you excited about their comeback?
