After launching official HUNTR/X and Saja Boys light sticks, landing an in-game Fortnite crossover, walking the VMAs red carpet, and becoming Netflix’s most-watched film of all time, “K-pop Demon Hunters” just keeps collecting milestones like no other. The powerhouse trio behind the film’s fictional girl group HUNTR/X, EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, have now brought their chart-topping hit “Golden” to life on stage for the very first time.
The song, which has become a global sensation since the film’s release, continues to captivate listeners with its soaring vocals, sleek production, and fierce girl-group energy. On 7th October (Monday), the trio appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” for their first full live performance of “Golden”.

In previous interviews, the singers shared that they had been rehearsing for eight hours a day in preparation for their appearance on “The Tonight Show”. It was also revealed that the rehearsals were the first time they had come together as a group, as the songs were originally recorded separately. The live performance marked a significant milestone not only for the artists but also for the K-pop Demon Hunters soundtrack, which has officially gone platinum.
Jimmy Fallon himself announced the achievement during the show, leaving the singers speechless as they reacted live on air. During the interview, EJAE also shared a chilling behind-the-scenes story about the recording of “Golden”. While working in the studio, she noticed her volume knob had suddenly stopped working. Thinking an engineer had entered the room, she heard footsteps and called out, but when she looked up, there was no one there.

“For a split second, I saw a tall man wearing a flannel shirt and blue jeans,” she recalled, adding that the strange encounter gave her goosebumps but somehow, the equipment started working again immediately after. She also mentioned that according to Korean beliefs, if any paranormal encounters happen during the recording of a song, it usually means the track will be a hit, which, as it turns out, was clearly true in this case.
One thing’s for certain, the film is making a name for itself far beyond the screen. From supernatural studio stories to real-life performances, the film’s music and cast continue to captivate audiences around the world. We can only hope to see more of the cast together in real life as HUNTR/X’s story continues to unfold.
