TOMORROW X TOGETHER (투모로우바이투게더) (TXT) recently released their 7th mini album, “The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY”, which includes 6 songs and the title track, “Over The Moon”. It was released to the public at 6pm KST on 4th November (Monday) and as of writing, the album sits at over 5 million streams on Spotify alone.
MOAs (TXT fans) and listeners alike seem to enjoy the newly released album, as it’s currently ranked at number 2 on Malaysia’s Apple Music top albums! The music video for “Over The Moon” is also doing exceptionally well, garnering almost 17 million views in the first 24 hours of release, making it TXT’s second most-viewed MV in the first 24 hours.
The YouTube video now has 20 million views at the time of writing, and we’re sure it’ll gain more as time goes on. As promotions for this new comeback continue, it was alleged that the 5-member boy group will be doing a cover of Taylor Swift‘s “Love Story”. The rumours was first posted by Twitter user @/txtarchivee, who shared a picture of TXT’s setlist for an upcoming show.
The K-pop group has done many covers in the past, both together and individually. One of their most notable covers are BTS’ (방탄소년단) “DNA” and Uhm Jung-Hwa’s “Invitation”, where both covers were presented on stage. They’ve also covered songs from Western artists, like Marteen’s “Sriracha”, Avril Lavigne‘s “Sk8ter Boi” and Bruno Mars‘ “Finesse”.
On one of the posts speculating TXT’s cover of “Love Story”, it’s said that the performance will be released on 15th November. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this yet. If the leakers are true to their word, then this is such a win for MOAs and Swifties!
