In the video posted earlier this week, the 62-year-old was seen at the airport alone, presumably returning to Beijing for work.
The actor was dressed in a blue jacket and a black cap, and was pushing several luggage on one cart. While the video only captured his profile, the netizen who shared the post confirmed that the man was indeed the cinema icon. In the video, Jet Li appeared haggard and was pushing the cart with his torso hunched. When a man offered to help with his luggage, the actor rejected the offer and left hurriedly.
The video sparked even more concern for the actor. Many netizens lamented that Jet Li should’ve been accompanied by an assistant, noting that he recently had surgery and is likely still recovering. Others expressed worry that he might injure himself from overexertion, urging him to take better care of himself. However, some also praised him for remaining humble and not relying on others for simple tasks.
Jet Li’s health has been talked about a lot for many years, especially after the actor revealed his hyperthyroidism diagnosis in 2013. It’s also believed that the star stepped down from acting due to his health concerns, even though he no longer suffers from hyperthyroidism. In recent years, Jet Li has shifted his focus to online content and recently started a Douyin account to share short videos discussing his life and career.
