Malaysian star Janna Nick is officially starting a new chapter abroad, and the journey has already stirred up some serious emotions. The 30-year-old actress and singer recently revealed on TikTok that she and her husband, actor Dini Schatzmann, will be moving out of Malaysia soon.
Although the couple has remained tight-lipped about their exact reasons, it’s widely speculated that they will be settling in London for a year. Before leaving, Janna made a heartfelt trip back to her hometown to visit her beloved grandparents.
“Back to the kampung before we move far away. Just wanted to say goodbye, but not forever,” said Janna. In the video, Janna is seen enjoying her grandmother’s cooking one last time. She shared that the taste and memory of that meal will remain with her once she’s far from home. “Grandma said she’s too tired to cook now, but she insisted on doing it anyway. Every time I come back, she still wants to set my plate even though she knows I can do it myself. There used to be dishes covering the table, but now there’s no more strength… yet the taste is still the same,” she wrote.
She also expressed her love for her grandfather, who always gets excited when she returns to the village, despite his declining health. “Dini has the same habit as Grandpa, loves tidying up. But Grandpa is no longer strong. Every time I leave, he cries. Thank you, Grandpa and Grandma, for teaching me the true meaning of love. Please wait for me to come home again,” she added.
Close friend and fellow actress Puteri Sarah Liyana didn’t hold back her feelings about Janna’s departure. In a now-viral Instagram Story, Sarah shared a sweet selfie with Janna and wrote: “Farewell party for Janna Nick. I’m going to cry later. My BFF won’t be around anymore. Take care of yourself. I’ll definitely miss you.”
In another post, she added a beautiful message of support saying, “Live well and peacefully. Find what makes you happy and cherish your moments of joy.” Fans across the country are already flooding social media with well-wishes, hoping Janna and Dini find happiness and success wherever they go.
