Earlier this week, the podcast “Lebih Masa” released an interview with Syed Saddiq, discussing topics including his political career. Additionally, the group also discussed Syed Saddiq’s personal life, particularly his engagement. During the interview, host Nani Roslan questioned Syed Saddiq about how he feels currently, noting the major change in his personal life.

Without missing a beat, the 31-year-old replied, “I’m happier now. Far happier because now I have a life outside of politics.” He continued, saying he never had the opportunity to think about marriage or starting a family before, due to his busy schedule. However, now that he’s engaged, he quipped that it gives him an overwhelming sense of happiness.
The politician also noted how marrying someone outside of his profession expanded his worldview. Syed gave an example, saying he realised that Bella can easily make his month’s salary with just one performance. He also noted that he has begun learning how to balance his work as a politician and his role as a husband and father.
Syed also brought up people’s concern about Bella Astillah having to slow down her acting and singing career now that she’s marrying a politician. On that subject, the Muar MP said he won’t stop his future wife from growing her showbiz career, noting that it wouldn’t be fair if she had to sacrifice her dreams for his.
