Living in a civilised society, it is important to show good manners. Wherever you go, whatever you do, whoever you are with, we should always be mindful of our actions. That is why it is important to teach your children basic manners especially when it comes to cleanliness.

Just recently, a video on Facebook went viral showing a hotel room in Penang trashed by a couple of uncivilised people. In the video, the room was in such a huge mess that it looked like a trashcan rather than a bedroom.

On the Penang Kini Facebook page, the admin posted a collage of pictures as well as a video with the caption that reads, “If you want to come, you’re welcome. But if you stay at a hotel, don’t behave like this. Pity the housekeeping staff. Hotel location is in Telok Kumbar.”

The room was left in a state of chaos with trash littered everywhere, food and drinks left out in the open, and actual blood lining the bedsheets. It seemed like the guests were celebrating a birthday because of the balloons left in the pool and stuck to the television.

Scrolling through the comments, many people are enraged after seeing the condition of the room the guests had left it in. One netizen said, “Pity the housekeeping staff. The hotel should charge extra for this kind of people”. Another said, “It’s not normal when you check out to leave the hotel in a mess like this. Before checking out, (we) should tidy up a bit.”
