With concerts taking place almost everywhere across the globe, fans are excited to gather and get a glimpse of their favourite celebrities. Yet, it is a rare occurrence to see your polished superstars acting inappropriately on stage and this aligns with a recent occurrence which took place at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert.
It is known that the beloved songwriter is currently performing on the European leg of her wildly successful tour. However, yesterday (Wednesday, 12th June), a video of the country-turned-popstar went viral after fans caught sight of her pinching her snot before letting it drip down her fingers. The situation further escalated when she was seen licking the snot on her cupid’s bow.
Upon the video going viral, fans and netizens alike immediately labelled the 34-year-old’s behaviour as disgusting. Several netizens agreed that they felt like vomiting upon watching the video while a few couldn’t comprehend that such behaviour is done by Taylor herself.
Apparently, this wasn’t the first time that fans had caught Taylor wiping her snot and this has happened in other concerts as well. Despite the comments expressing disgust, several fans argued that the Grammy winner’s actions were understandable as she was performing. Hence, they applauded her for maintaining her professionalism as a performer.
Aside from the incident, another issue surfaced during her show at Murrayfield Stadium in which a 64-year-old man got arrested for performing voyeurism on another attendee. The details of this issue aren’t specified yet it is known that during the concert, the singer stopped her set and pointed it out to a fan in the crowd.
Additionally, Taylor waited for the venue staff to assist the fan, not wanting the situation to worsen. “We need help right in front of me, please. We’re not gonna keep singing, we’re just gonna keep talking about the people that need help in front of me,” she said in the middle of her set. The superstar then continued her performance, letting those in charge arrest the man.
As of now, the unidentified middle-aged man has been released yet will appear in court soon. Aside from that, it is known that matters such as the above are common at almost every Taylor Swift concert.
