Recently, a teenage fried chicken seller went viral for having a striking resemblance to BLACKPINK’s Lisa (리사). The girl, Yeehwa, even attracted the attention of Malaysian netizens and told Thai media that she was very happy about resembling the K-pop idol.
With all the attention she’s been getting, it was only a matter of time before we finally got to see her dress up as the singer as well. Earlier this week, renowned Thai makeup artist Nongchat posted photos of the 17-year-old chicken seller as the BLACKPINK member on his TikTok channel, much to everyone’s surprise.
As seen in the photos above, the TikToker invited Yeehwa to recreate Lisa’s promotional photos for her single “ROCKSTAR”, originally taken and edited by photographer Jack Bridgeland. Just like the idol herself, the viral star took on a whole different persona and exerted the “ROCKSTAR” confidence in the photos which surprised many as she’s been described as a shy young girl.
A follow-up post was uploaded the same day showing the before and after look. The TikTok video first showed the Thai beauty in her usual stall outfit while holding up a piece of fried chicken before the scene transitioned to her as Lisa dancing the “ROCKSTAR” choreography in outfits similar to the ones the rapper wore in the music video. The TikTok posts soon trended globally and received overwhelmingly positive feedback from netizens all over the world.
Many complimented Yeehwa on her beauty and similar facial features to Lisa while others suggested she should audition at the idol’s company LLOUD. Some thanked Nongchat for giving her the chance to shine on his social media platform and have fun portraying the BLACKPINK member. It is currently unknown if Lisa herself has become aware of her doppelgänger but we sure hope that the two will meet one day!
