It’s been raining a lot lately and after many flash flood cases in the past, many have prepared for the worst-case scenario. As many have reported, Penang suffered a major flash flood very recently where the water reached ankle level.

Thankfully, the situation was not severe enough to call for evacuation. While locals were worried about their safety and belongings, this foreigner seemed to be enjoying the flood a little too much. Watch:

Over the weekend, a video of a foreign man “swimming” in the flood water on the road has been circulating everywhere on social media. According to Kosmo, the incident took place at the Tun Abdul Razak (Komtar) shopping complex in Georgetown, Penang. As seen in the post above, the man was happily splashing about on the road as if he were at a water festival.

The man’s actions caught the attention of many passersby who were simply surprised and amused by his random action. Although entertained, netizens on social media were also very concerned about the foreigner’s health since he submerged himself in flood water, which was obviously not clean as it was also mixed with sewage water.

A foreigner enjoying himself on the road during the flood was probably the least chaotic thing to happen as a few locals also managed to catch a large snake that was slithering about not too far from the location of the aforementioned incident. As seen in the video below, a restaurant staff managed to sneak behind the snake and grabbed it by the tail to drag it away from the road.

The snake was then placed in a plastic bag to be set free somewhere else, away from people. Unfortunately, there’s been no update if the snake was safely released into the wild but at least we wouldn’t have to worry about it being road kill or causing harm to anyone else.
