A hunky delivery rider for FoodPanda has set social media ablaze recently, and it’s all thanks to his buff physique. It all started after a video of him flaunting his toned biceps went viral on TikTok.
In speaking to mStar after his video went viral last week, the guy, Hairil Anwar Md Nadzir, said that he has been working for the food delivery service full-time since early 2020. He also revealed that he was still skinny at that time, and only weighed at 55kg.
“I was too skinny back then. Whenever I wore an oversized shirt, I immediately felt unconfident, especially when I had to face the customers while delivering their orders. On top of that, there were also some who asked if I was sick, or on whether I took drugs, because I looked so thin,” Hairil, or Erel in short, shared.
Seemingly affected by the hurtful comments about his physical appearance in the past, Erel then said that he was determined to gain some weight in order to boost his self-confidence. According to him, “I started working out sometime after mid-2020. I’ve been targeting to get a muscular body. I want to get a perfect physique just like my idol, former national bodybuilding champion Sazali Samad.”
Despite being busy with his work as a deliveryman, Erel revealed that he eventually managed to achieve his target. Thanks to his earnest drive and determination over the years, he has gained over 44 pounds. During the chat with the portal, Erel also revealed that he often works overtime to help cover his gym fee as well as the cost for his healthy diet.
He said, “Before this, I was too busy with work. I never thought of having lunch. I’d only have my dinner when I reached home after I’m done with my work. Most of the time, I only eat one meal per day. At the moment, I’m looking for extra income for my gym fee and also for my diet. I will make sure to have my meal at least five times a day. Then at night, I’ll work out at the gym.”

“Apart from lunch, I also prepare eight slices of whole meal breads containing chicken breasts and eggs, mixed with salad and mayonnaise,” he added in the chat. Erel also revealed that he consumes 10 half-boiled eggs a day. According to him, the diet gives him more energy to perform his daily task.
“Once, I climbed up to the 15th floor of a customer’s house in the People Housing Project (PPR) in Bukit Jalil. The elevator was full at that time. I didn’t want to wait for too long and decided to use the stairs instead,” Erel shared during his interview with mStar.
During the interview, Erel also shared that he will be taking part in a bodybuilding competition this coming August. “I really want to be like my idol Sazali Samad by participating in bodybuilding competitions,” he ended his chat.
