Earlier this month, Fazura announced that she had filed for divorce from husband Fattah Amin, leaving fans shocked and perplexed. Today (25th September 2024, Wednesday), the couple made their first public appearance since the announcement, revealing the result of their first court hearing.
Fazura and Fattah attended the first court hearing of their divorce case at the Petaling Lower Shariah Court earlier today. However, according to reports, the divorce case is postponed to 7th October 2024 (Monday). Fattah’s lawyer, Zulkfili Che Yong, explained the actor isn’t ready to divorce his wife. He also said the 34-year-old will continue to discuss with his partner to settle amicably.
In an interview with local media, Fattah reiterated his previous stance, saying he still loves Fazura. The public figure also asked for the public’s thoughts and prayers during this period. Fazura was also interviewed by reporters, who asked if there was any chance of the couple reconciling. The actress said, “As a wife and mother, of course, I hope for the best, but I leave it to God because that is the best for me”.
Fazura also denied the rumours that cheating was the cause of the divorce. Her lawyer, Fakhrul Azman Abu Hassan, said his client has never released a statement about the divorce and urged the public to refrain from making false assumptions. He also said the actress would take legal action against those individuals against those who spread the rumours.
After the court hearing, Fazura took to Instagram to thank fans for their ongoing support. However, she said that she is standing by her decision to divorce her husband to preserve her dignity as a woman and the well-being of her daughter, Fatima. Meanwhile, Fattah posted a photo of Fazura and their daughter and asked for the public’s well-wishes, adding that whatever happens, he will still love his family.
