One of the most difficult things about being a parent is when your child gets sick. Since their immune system is still developing, it’s very worrying to find out just how severe an illness can get. It’s even more worrying if your child is still very young that they lack the vocabularies to tell you what’s wrong.

Regardless, as parents, you’d do whatever you can to make sure your children are comfortable and happy, and take necessary steps to prevent them from being infected by any illness. With that being said, you’re still only human and there’s only so much you can do. Fazura is doing her very best to make sure her daughter is calm while she was getting her vaccine shots.

Actress and singer Fazura recently posted a series of photos and videos on Instagram of her and her daughter’s trip to a hospital. The actress shared that her 2-year-old daughter, Nur Fatima was getting her Influenza vaccines that day. The first video in the second slide showed the loving mother trying to comfort her daughter as she was crying in her arms, possibly from the pain of getting her vaccine.

“Completed her Influenza vaccines today. Here’s me being a bad parent trying to comfort her with chocolates,” the “Can’t Forget Me” singer captioned the post. The 39-year-old pulled out a bag of chocolate treats given to her by someone to help her daughter to stop crying. The tasty treats appeared to have done the job as the child was seen happily eating them while asking, “Where’s daddy?” in the second video of her post.

Fans and netizens responded to the heartwarming post to reassure the mother-of-one that she’s not a bad parent for simply giving her daughter a treat to help calm her down. Parents in the comments shared their own tactics in comforting their children with some even saying, “Desperate times call for desperate measures”. Fazura also posted a TikTok video of a funny moment when Fatima was simultaneously crying and laughing while eating her treat.

According to the IrishTimes, it is not recommended for children under the age of 4 to have large amounts of chocolate. However, as long as chocolate consumption is restricted, a small amount from time to time is completely fine. Fazura did what she needed to do to make her daughter happy and for that, we also applaud her for being a good mother.
