Korean idol Jeon Somi (전소미) has been very busy preparing for the release of her new EP “Game Plan”. She made her official comeback to the music scene with her single “Fast Forward” along with the music video which was released earlier this week.
To celebrate the release of her new music, the singer got together with some of her closest friends including fellow idol HyunA (김현아) who she got a little too intimate during her album release party.

Last night (Tuesday, 8th August), HyunA posted a carousel post on her Instagram of her and Somi at the latter’s “Game Plan” release party with a caption that reads, “Congratulations Somi! Eat well and show us all you have prepared 🤍🤍🤍🎀✨”. The first slide of the post showed the two idols doing a cute winking pose for the camera but the second slide, which was a video, got fans screaming with shock and excitement.
The video showed the 22-year-old singer kissing her senior on the cheek before kissing her on the lips when the “I’m Not Cool” artist turned to face her. The video ended with the two shyly laughing after they locked lips. The video went viral all over Twitter with some fans being jealous of both idols kissing each other while others were not surprised as Somi has kissed other idols she’s closed with, especially her former I.O.I member, Kim Doyeon (김도연).
However, they were a few who accused the singers of queerbaiting fans but many came to their defense saying Somi has always been a very affectionate person and that two girls kissing isn’t really out of the ordinary.
Neither Somi nor HyunA commented on the kiss but it’s evident that the two are very close and comfortable around each other. Who knows, we might actually get a collab in the future!
