It’s been a while, but Hong Kong singer Eason Chan (陈奕迅) is finally back in Malaysia! The Cantopop icon recently made an appearance in Bukit Bintang and was greeted by a crowd of enthusiastic fans.
Yesterday (Tuesday, 26th August 2025), the singer made an appearance at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur to promote his upcoming “FEAR and DREAMS” live album and Blu-ray sets. The event also included a special screening and panel session at DADI Cinema for the concert documentary. This appearance marks Eason’s first time in Malaysia in two years. The last time the singer was in town was in 2023 for his “FEAR and DREAMS” concert at Axiata Arena.

Since it’s been a while since Eason last appeared in Malaysia, fans are eager to meet him in person. Thousands of them packed the main entrance of Pavilion KL, creating a lively atmosphere to welcome the star. As soon as Eason arrived, the crowd burst into cheers and clamoured to get a closer glimpse at the singer. The 51-year-old was dressed in a black suit, appearing in high spirits as he interacted with the crowd.
While on stage, the singer greeted the crowd in Mandarin and Cantonese and even gave a try at saying “selamat malam”. Eason said he’s excited to be in KL, praising the warmth and enthusiasm of the Malaysian fans. He also remarked that he’s glad to be back in Malaysia, saying, “I’ve always loved to visit countries with a lot of history. Malaysia makes me feel free and comfortable, and the people are very friendly.”

The star also touched on his concert documentary and what happened during his world tour. Eason revealed that he experienced anxiety during the period, but said that he has since gotten it under control. He also shared a bit of advice for fans, saying, “When you encounter unhappiness or obstacles in life, don’t be afraid, find a friend to share it with. You are not alone, and don’t be anxious. You will always find someone who can share your worries.”
We’re glad that Eason felt very welcome in Malaysia, and we hope he’ll return soon. While we wait for news of his next performance in Malaysia, you can check out his new “FEAR and DREAMS” live CD and Blu-ray, which is now available for pre-order.
