Whenever a Korean star visits Malaysia, you can be sure there will be a crowd of fans to welcome them. Over the weekend, Korean actor and actress Lee Jong Suk (이종석) and Mun Ka Young (문가영) walked the red carpet at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, drawing a large crowd to Bukit Bintang.
The two stars were in town for the exclusive finale fan screening of their drama “Law In The City (서초동)”. The event took place at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on Sunday evening (10th August 2025). However, fans have already begun gathering in the Bukit Bintang area in the afternoon, hoping to secure the best spot to catch a glimpse of the stars. Even the rain couldn’t dampen their spirits as they waited patiently for Lee Jong Suk and Mun Ka Young to make their appearance.

As soon as the two stars stepped onto the red carpet, the crowd roared with excitement. Not only was Malaysia the only Southeast Asian stop for the “Law And The City” press tour, but this is also the first time Lee Jong Suk and Mun Ka Young visited Malaysia. As such, longtime fans were even more eager to catch a glimpse of them in person. Both cast members made sure to return the love by signing posters and taking pictures with fans in the crowd.
Lee Jong Suk and Mun Ka Young said they were touched by the enthusiasm and warm welcome. They also said they would return to Malaysia in the future. After a brief interview and photo session, the two then proceeded to Dadi Cinema for the special screening. The lucky fans who attended the screening were able to watch the final episode of “Law And The City” with the two cast members.

After the event, Mun Ka Young updated her Instagram with photos from the night to thank fans for their support. The actress will make another appearance at Pavilion KL this Tuesday (12th August 2025) for Dolce & Gabbana Beauty, for which she is a brand ambassador. Interestingly, the star also gifted fans at the screening with a few items from the brand, earning her praise for her generosity.
We’re glad fans were able to showcase Malaysian hospitality for Lee Jong Suk and Mun Ka Young. We hope the support they received during the event will encourage them to return more often. Check out some videos from the night:
