International superstars BTS (방탄소년단) have some famous fans – from British rock band Coldplay to Hollywood actor Tom Cruise. However, one Disney character recently admitted to being an ARMY, even having a favourite member.
Yesterday (20th May 2025, Tuesday), American-based online publication The Nerds of Color dropped a snippet of their interview with Disney’s Stitch. The interview was part of the press junket for the new “Lilo & Stitch” live-action remake. In the video, interviewer Laura asked Stitch about his music taste and whether he liked K-pop. The blue alien excitedly answered the question, saying he’s a big fan of the music genre.

Laura followed up, asking Stitch about his favourite group. The Disney character ecstatically answered, “Everyone knows that, Laura! Stitch loves BTS!”. Finally, the interviewer asked the adorable character his favourite member, to which he answered, “J-Hope!”, before busting a few dance moves. In a separate comment, Laura said the interview is an official Disney interview, thus making Stitch’s answer canon.
The video and Stitch’s answer quickly made rounds on social media, garnering the attention of ARMYs from across the globe. Many were happy to hear that the Disney character is a fan of K-pop and BTS. Some also said that Stitch choosing J-Hope (제이홉) as his bias isn’t surprising, noting the two’s similar bright personalities. Others also hope to see Stitch collaborate with the blue alien, perhaps in a TikTok dance challenge.

The video interview also sparked speculations that BTS or J-Hope might appear in the upcoming movie’s soundtrack. However, The Nerds Of Color clarified that neither the group nor the “Mona Lisa” singer would be on the soundtrack and that the music in the video was merely a creative choice of the editor. Nevertheless, fans still hope to see interactions between BTS and their extraterrestrial fan.
We also hope to see Stitch and J-hope meet up in the future! Meanwhile, the “Lilo and Stitch” movie will premiere in cinemas nationwide on 22nd May 2025 (Thursday). Check out Laura’s interview with Stitch below:
