Over the weekend, actor Fattah Amin and singer Amira Othman tied the knot in a grand ceremony at the Golden Palm Tree Resort in Sepang. The wedding was also broadcast on unifiTV, allowing fans to join in the celebration.
It was also during the beautiful event that it was revealed singer Amira Othman had appointed fellow artist Ernie Zakri as one of her bridesmaids. In a recent livestream, the latter shared how she was asked to be part of the ceremony. Here’s what she said:
Earlier this week, Ernie Zakri hosted a TikTok livestream with her husband, Syameel Aqmal Mohd Fodzly, where the pair discussed the recent wedding of Fattah Amin and Amira Othman. During the broadcast, a fan asked the singer about being chosen as one of the “dulang” girls, or bridesmaids, to which she revealed that she had been invited earlier this year.
Ernie explained that Amira had approached her around May or June to ask if she would be willing to take on the role. She also disclosed that it was around the same time she found out that the star would be marrying Fattah Amin. “This was the first time I had ever been asked to be someone’s bridesmaid. I’ve never done this before, as my friends either never needed one or already had specific people in mind, so I thought, ‘Okay! Let’s go!” she said during the livestream before sharing that they went straight to discussing and planning the wedding together.
Syameel Aqmal Mohd Fodzly also revealed that he had struck up a friendship with actress Anzalna Nasir’s husband, Hanif Zaki, and recounted a humorous incident they experienced during the wedding ceremony. These light-hearted moments from the livestream quickly went viral, with fans reacting enthusiastically to the couple’s stories.
Some fans remarked on how Ernie had managed to keep Amira’s secret for so long, while others were amused that her husband, Syameel, had found a new friend at the event.
