Last week, local entrepreneur Dato Seri Vida surprised fans when she shared a video of her presenting in a classroom. Many assumed that it was just the public figure fooling around – but as it turns out, Dato Seri Vida is officially returning to school!
Dato Seri Vida, whose real name is Hasmiza Othman, recently revealed she has furthered her studies, enrolling in a one-year master’s degree programme at the London Examination Board (LEB) in the United Kingdom. She also shared a video of her attending a class at the campus, accompanied by her daughter, Cik B. It’s worth noting that Cik B, whose real name is Nur Edlynn Zamilleen, is also pursuing her master’s degree in Barcelona, Spain.
Speaking with a local media outlet, Dato Seri Vida opened up about her reason for continuing her studies. The 54-year-old said she furthered her studies to learn more about business and management to advance her brands. At the same time, the public figure said she took the opportunity to study in London to be closer to her daughter after a long time apart. Dato Seri Vida also plans to get a PhD after completing her master’s degree.
The mother-of-two also shared her thoughts about being a student again, saying she enjoys gaining new knowledge about business and marketing. Dato Seri Vida also said that studying in London has made her feel refreshed and younger. When asked about her businesses in Malaysia, the entrepreneur said all business affairs will be handled by her son, Eric Zaquan Muhammad Amin, better known as Kacak.
