(Video) Customer Complains About Spoiled ZUS Coffee Drinks But It Backfired

They say the customer is always right – but are they? This personal shopper from Brunei took to TikTok to lament about ZUS Coffee and their customer service after she received complaints from her buyers about spoiled products. However, netizens are saying she’s the one to blame.

The post was first posted on TikTok in early January but went viral recently after a netizen posted it on Twitter. The Brunei-based personal shopper service, Khairani’s Closet, posted a video to detail why she will no longer accept orders for ZUS Coffee products. In the post, the shopper shared that her orders for the brand’s 1-litre Bottle Necessity drinks were spoiled after transporting it from Sabah back to Brunei, causing a total loss of over 4,000 Brunei dollars.

As she never had issues with a previous batch of drinks, Khairani believed the spoiled coffee was because of poor preparation on ZUS’ side. The store filed a complaint against the coffee chain, hoping to receive compensation or a replacement. Unfortunately, ZUS Coffee could not fulfil her request as they said they are not responsible for the products after the customer has received their order. While she accepted the outcome, the personal shopper still lamented ZUS’ lack of customer service because of her experience.

While the shopper has sorted the issue, Khairani’s experience was reshared on Twitter recently, leading netizens to debate who was at fault. Many believed the drinks spoiled because the shopper did not store them properly while transporting them back to Brunei. As all the drinks contain dairy, netizens say Khairani should have used a cooler box instead of leaving the drinks in the boxes they came in, especially since the journey back home would take hours. Many netizens also say that ZUS cannot be held responsible if the drinks go bad because all the bottles were labelled with proper storage instructions.

Interestingly, many say ZUS Coffee should take this opportunity to open an outlet in Brunei to avoid this issue from happening again – but what do you think? Was ZUS Coffee responsible for this matter? Or was poor storage the cause of the coffee going bad?
