Fans had an unforgettable weekend attending the joint “The Journey of Sound” concert by Biduanita Negara Dato Sri Siti Nurhaliza and Indonesian superstar Judika, held at Merdeka Stadium. The two legends performed many of their hits, and while many enjoyed the show, some were left disappointed by the way it was organised. However, there was one moment before and during the concert that stood out the most and it didn’t happen from inside the venue.
After the doors opened, fans noticed that there were groups of construction workers in a building next to the venue, looking into the stadium. Netizens were amused by the fact that the workers got to enjoy the show for free, as they had access to watch it from their vantage point. At one point during the concert, some of them even waved their phone lights to (successfully) attract Siti’s attention. “They got the best view!” said the songstress.
Apart from the main performers, the construction workers became the stars of the night as the event’s official drone flew over to them, giving them a chance to appear on the big screens. The workers happily waved to the camera, with members of the audience inside the venue waving back at them. The “Journey of Sound” concert was not only a celebration of Siti and Judika’s careers in the industry but also a testament to how their music can bring people together.
The wonderful moment was captured and shared by many online. As for the rest of the evening, there were some complaints about seating arrangements, Siti’s entrance gimmick, timing as well as the fireworks display. While it’s unfortunate that some fans didn’t enjoy their experience at the show, others defended the artists, saying that their performance and setlist were extraordinary. Some netizens pointed out how members of the audience in certain zones were having the time of their lives.
Many also praised Siti and Judika’s stardom as there aren’t that many acts who can easily sell out a concert. With that being said, they acknowledged the fact the organiser Universe Gateway failed to fulfil their promises to maintain proper crowd control on the day of the event.
